CTBUH selects the Center for Computing & Data Sciences as America’s best tall building

America’s best tall building is in Boston.
The Center for Computing & Data Sciences at Boston University was named the overall winner in the Best Tall Building by Region – Americas category at this week’s Council on Tall Buildings and Urban Habitat international conference in London, England.
Partner Paulo Rocha, the project’s design architect, and Dennis Carlberg, Boston University’s Chief Sustainability Officer & Associate Vice President for Climate Action, were on hand to present the project to the jury and a room teeming with conference attendees.
In May, the Council on Tall Buildings and Urban Habitat named the Center for Computing & Data Sciences as the recipient of two Award of Excellence prizes; one in the category of Best Tall Building – Under 100 Meters and a second in the category of Best Tall Building by Region – Americas.
Recently, Boston University climbed two positions to number 41 in the U.S. News & World Report annual Best College Rankings of national universities. The University’s computer science program was also lauded.
