On September 23, principal Bob Sims will join a panel for the Architectural Conservancy of Ontario (ACO)’s annual symposium.
With a focus on heritage and housing, this year’s symposium brings together a diverse selection of speakers to explore issues of affordability and sustainability, and the future of Toronto’s built environment in three sessions: Addressing Affordability, Responding to the Climate Crisis, and The Future of Our Growing City.
Moderated by Elsa Lam, editor-in-chief of Canadian Architect, The Future of Our Growing City, will feature presentations and a panel discussion by Sims, Joey Giaimo, principal at Giaimo, and Chiyi Tam, managing director of Toronto Chinatown Land Trust.
This session will examine the changing landscape of housing and heritage in the city, discussing creative solutions that seek to integrate our existing built environment and cultural heritage while addressing the need for housing.
