Partner Steven Casey named RAIC College Fellow, Class of 2025

Partner Steven Casey has been named a Fellow of the Royal Architectural Institute of Canada (RAIC).
Bestowed on individuals through a nomination process, Fellowships are one of the RAIC’s highest membership honours. Fellows are recognized for their contribution to research, scholarship, public service, and professional standing to the good of architecture in Canada.
“Steven exemplifies the highest level of creative and technical skills necessary to practice in today’s complex and competitive environment,” says founding partner Marianne McKenna. “He has a finely tuned intellect paired with the ability to balance the intricacies of design with practical solutions that lead to design excellence and respond to clients’ objectives.”
This is evident in Casey’s award-winning portfolio of work, made up of projects like the Centre for International Governance Innovation (CIGI) Campus, winner of a Governor General’s Medal, an American Institute of Architects Honor Award, and a Royal Institute of British Architects International Award.
Casey also played a leadership role on the Ronald O. Perelman Center for Political Science and Economics at the University of Pennsylvania, winner of an Ontario Association of Architects Award of Design Excellence and the Best of Canada Award from Canadian Interiors. Most recently, he led the workplace design strategy and interior design for Scotiabank North, a new flagship location for Scotiabank, one of Canada’s largest financial institutions.
Beyond his work at KPMB, Casey has served on the Expert Advisory Board for the Institute for Contemporary Culture at the Royal Ontario Museum and as a juror for architecture and design award programs. Currently, he is a member of the Development Committee for the St. Lawrence Neighbourhood Association.
Fellows will be officially inducted into the RAIC College at the RAIC conference in June.
