At KPMB, we’re committed to building social and economic well-being for all in response to the ongoing challenges of housing insecurity, racial injustice, and inequality. Every year, we invite architecture, engineering, and construction firms across the Greater Toronto Area to compete in our annual Gingerbread Build for the City competition in support of the Red Door Family Shelter.
That’s why the competition isn’t just about fun. It’s about coming together to make a meaningful impact on our city’s most vulnerable populations.
By participating, firms showcase their design skills and help raise critical funds to support Red Door Family Shelter and the essential services they provide.
This year’s theme “The 8th Wonder of the World,” challenged participants to imagine a 21st-century Wonder of the World in gingerbread form and they rose to the challenge. They designed Whoville, the London Bridge, Habitat 67, and more. Together we raised over $5600.
